Hours: 7am – 3.30pm (Mon-Thu) & 7am – 2.30pm (Fri)

Job Summary
Ranson Barnes Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working with this globally renowned engineering / manufacturing organisation again, who are now in search of a Production Supervisor.
You will oversee site operations to ensure all orders are produced accurately and delivered on time.
As a Site Supervisor, you will lead teams across the warehouse and factory, fostering engagement and continuous improvement through your leadership abilities.
Health and Safety, quality, Environmental and staff management are key areas of responsibility within this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Designated key holder with responsibilities for day-to-day security
- Day to day supervision of the Site (designated areas) and covering other departments in the absence of the supervisor
- Responsible for production scheduling
- Responsible for achieving on time delivery (OTD) targets
- Responsible for health and safety compliance
- Responsible for basic operator maintenance
- Responsible for inputting maintenance and die repair requests into maintenance connection data base
- Conduct safety audits, action any points raised and updating relevant dashboard
- Manage stock accuracy, cycle counts, corrective actions and updating relevant dashboard
- Ensure all transactions are booked into JDE in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure count accuracy for all production parts transferred between departments
- Ensure compliance with quality procedures
- Ensure compliance with Environmental procedures
- Responsible for absence management and return to work interviews
- Manage and authorise holiday entitlement
- Monitor and control overtime
- Responsible for developing and maintaining all training matrix
- Generate and maintain operating instructions and adherence to for all processes
- Conduct appraisals for all staff in line with company timelines and develop training plans
- Ensure 5s principles are adhered to
- Ensure Kanban principles are adhered to
- Ensure value streams are managed to pitch and update relevant dashboards
- All other responsibilities as assigned
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Hold Power Press safety certificate where applicable (Training course can be provided if not)
- Possession of a FLT license where applicable
- Good problem resolution skills
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Good understanding of JDE or similar systems
- A good understanding of lean manufacturing techniques
- Must possess strong leadership skills
- Must be able to work in pressurised environment
- Must be able to work well within a team environment
- Knowledge of Continuous improvement principles
- Good computer skills
