Business Development Manager
Location: Rotherham, UK
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 basic + Commissions

Ranson Barnes Recruitment is partnering with a growing and ambitious marketing services business in Rotherham to recruit a Business Development Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional with experience in a creative, design, marketing, branding, print, or agency environment. If you’re used to working with Marketing Managers, Brand Managers, Heads of Marketing, and Marketing Directors, and enjoy opening doors, building relationships, and developing long-term client partnerships, we’d love to hear from you.
The business supports a diverse range of organisations with the delivery of marketing campaigns, branded communications, and commercial projects. As part of their continued growth, they are looking for a proactive Business Development Manager to identify opportunities, engage with marketing decision-makers, and develop new client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Generate leads through networking, outreach, and LinkedIn
- Arrange and attend client meetings (virtual and in-person)
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
- Use CRM systems to track leads and activity
- Work closely with internal teams to convert opportunities into projects
What We’re Looking For
- Proven sales experience (new business development)
- Confident communicator and relationship builder
- Self-motivated and target-driven
- Organised and comfortable using CRM systems
- Willing to use LinkedIn and digital engagement as part of business development
